Before you hand over the cash
For $89, we go over the car while it's still the seller's problem, then text you what it needs and roughly what that'll cost. Better to find rusted brake lines now than after you've paid.
What’s included
- OBD2 scan, including readiness monitors that show if codes were recently cleared
- Engine, transmission and coolant fluids: level, color and smell
- Brakes, tires, suspension play, belts and hoses
- Leaks, rust and signs of accident repair. Minnesota salt is hard on frames and brake lines.
- A test drive, if the seller allows it
- A summary by text: what's urgent, what can wait, and rough costs
Tell the seller a mechanic is coming. If they won't allow an inspection, that's a bad sign.

Bring your own (no markup) or we source at cost + 25%. Parts we buy are paid up front.
